Application
The angiographic catheter is a tool used to deliver medications and other treatments, as well as to perform procedures such as angiography and embolization. The catheter can be inserted into the femoral artery in the groin area or into the carotid artery in the neck. It is long enough to reach almost anywhere in the body but short enough to allow it to be inserted through small incisions. The tip of an angiographic catheter has several openings that allow fluids and medications to flow through them into different parts of the body.
